Let's Get Mischievious with Edward

If you haven’t caught on the NewUrbanMale.com craze, we’ll let you know who did. Four cute boys from the US have, by appearing in our NUMtees in their latest music video “One Word.”

The Mischievious Boys from the States were seen in (and taking off) NUMtees and we had the pleasure of interviewing these four hot men. We went down the list and this week, we were lucky enough to get an interview with the hottest Mischievious Boy, Edward Allen - the Heartthrob.

The Heartthrob is the newbie in the group and has been in the US since he was 12. The social worker was born in the Philippines and over and above his day job of dealing with neglected and abused children, Edward finds time to relax through hanging out with the Mischievious Boys and their music videos.

Describe yourselves in three words (both as a band and as individuals).
Individually, I would say - reserved, analytical, task-centered. As a group, I would say we are “Mis,” “Chi,” and “Vious.”

How long have you guys been friends?
I am the newbie in the group. The rest of the gang have known each other for years. I met David nearly a year and half ago, and he introduced me to Joseph and Tommy a few months later.

What do you guys do for fun other then lip synching?
We like to do regular stuff that friends do – such as hanging out, going to dinner, working out at the gym, going to the movies, talking about boys, and laughing with each other.

What’s the favorite clip you guys have done?
My favorite video is “Try it on My Own” because of it positive message, and that is the most fun video we did. It was The Mischievious Boys at its best. Our group chemistry and the fun we had can be seen throughout this video, as we were laughing, smiling, and dancing from beginning to end.

How fast was the response after you guys released your first video?
Faster than a “quickie.”

Quirky Quickie - The boy, spotted in the 9 inch Monster (ahem) NUMtee, can wiggle both his ears.

Have you gotten any indecent proposals from any of your ardent fans?
I have gotten marriage proposals. Does that count as indecent?

You guys are taking this multimedia interactivity to a new level. Is it really that easy to pick up and is it that easy to put it up on the web?
It’s not as tough as Joseph makes it out to be. It is easy as one, two, three. Step one – get four guys to dance around topless and lipsynching to music. Step two – make a video. Step three – make more videos.

Have you guys ever thought the 235guys and the Mischievious boys can do something together? Maybe something like Live Aid?
Maybe NewUrbanMale.com would sign us to be their spokeperson and model. (Smiles)

Which is your favorite NUMtee?
My favorites are “Babe Magnet,” “I Am Much Hotter On The Internet” and “Repair Man.”

What do your parents think of your lip synching performances?
When I showed our music videos to my mom, she noticed that I was a bit shy and was holding back. She said, “You gotta just let it go.” That was my mom being a “stage parent.”

Have you guys ever thought of expanding the cast? Instead of just yourselves, how about celebrity cameo appearances?
Nah. I think four DIVAs in one band is enough.

NewUrbanMale.com Craze

The NewUrbanMale.com craze has hit everyone. First MTV VJs were spotted wearing our NUMtees, then it was the Mischievious Boys from the US who wore our NUMtees in their latest music video "One Word" and now, even local sports personalities have caught on the craze.

Boy-napped

What: Love Bites 2
Who: Ben from 235guys (the very first guy on your left)
How: Snatched from the street by Bryan Wong.
Why: To appear on TV and do a simple task - win the heart of a pretty girl.

Find out how one of our very own 235guys, Ben, fares against the other male contestants as he tries to sweet-talk the lovely lady and try to win attractive cash prizes. And of course, he also stands a chance to get a hot date with her as well.

Tune in on 8th Feb (Wed) at 8pm (lucky date and time for a lucky Lunar New Year) on Channel U or catch the repeat telecast at midnight the same day and see how Ben matches up to the competition and see how lucky he'll be.

Match the Boy to the NUMtee

The lip-synching Mischievious Boys from the US have been spotted wearing NUMtees in one of their latest videos, One Word. These cute boys are truly living up to the naughty innuendos that are on our NUMtees, like how "Sexciting" they are.

And they came up with a simple game for you fans to match the right cutie to the right NUMtee he is wearing. Everybody's favorite, Edward will be hosting this page so go to the link and just see which Mischievious Boy is wearing what (or which boy is not wearing anything at all?)

To see the entry and go to the Mischievious Boys website click here.
To see the entire NUMtee collection, go to http://www.numtees.com.

Cleaner than Your Boyfriend's

American Apparel found out that girlfriends have been spotted wearing their boyfriends briefs in the US and decided to do the ladies a favor. Now, the ladies no longer have to wear oversized, blemished and often unclean briefs anymore, because American Apparel came up with Classic Girl Boy Briefs.

These briefs can be found at NewUrbanMale.com and have already appeared in three different magazines – Female, Her World and Style, indicating ladies’ boy briefs are definitely in. With more feminine colors and designs, the Classic Girl Boy Briefs are always a fresher and cleaner alternative to your boyfriend’s briefs.

Let's Get Mischievious with Joseph

If you've seen Youtube.com lately you would have spotted their videos. They are the Mischievious Boys - the lip-synching boy band that has been taking online videos by storm. In their latest video, One Word, the boys have been spotted wearing our NUMtees.

NewUrbanMale.com had the pleasure of interviewing the boys. Just last week, we caught up with the Bad Boy David, while this week, we caught up with the main man behind the Mischievious Boys, the Dancer, Joseph Inovero, 35

Joseph has been in the US since 1985 when he moved there with his mom for better opportunities and a better life. The technical consultant is a very outdoors person - loving volleyball, bowling, dancing and especially hosting parties. Joseph manages the group and is the brains behind the operations and the editing of the Mischiveious Boys videos.

Describe yourself in three words.
For myself – Fa Bu Lous. For the four of us I would say – Lip-Synch Boy Band.

Tell us how you guys got started?
I started making my own music videos (the remix of “Keep It Together” by Madonna) using my family’s home videos as footage back in 1991. Then I made a fashion show music video (“I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred) starring my mom and me. I think it was really in 1998, when I started fiddling with digital video editing and started making lip-synched music videos with my friends and family. But it was only late last year, when I was doing karoke with David, Edward and Tommy that I decided to record us singing, eventually leading us to make our music videos after I showed the rest of the boys what I had created before.

How was the response after you guys released your first video?
I first uploaded our videos on video.google.com and then to Youtube.com. I started getting emails from fans who saw our “Hung Up” music video on google and then our “Hung Up” video got featured in the Daily Top 20 on Youtube.com. The response was so good that I quickly bought mischieviousboys.com and then a few days later, another video of ours, “What a Feeling”, made it to the Daily Top 15. It was great.

You are bound to have many fans. Have you been offered any indecent proposals before?
Nope. No indecent proposals but I am waiting for a decent one though.

You guys are taking this multimedia interactivity to a new level. Is it really that easy to pick up these and is it that easy for anybody videos and put it up on the web?
I am a very technical person. I create web applications and design websites for a living and as a hobby. I have a lot of experience in creating music videos. In addition, I’m also a hobbyist photographer. So it was very easy for me to get where The Mischievious Boys are now.

Quirky Quickie:
When Joseph was in first grade in the Philippines, he was so shy to get up from his seat and tell his teacher that he needed to go to the bathroom, that he just peed in his pants right there.

What’s your favorite clip?
“Try It on My Own” – I love the song, I love Whitney, I love the Thunderpuss Remix, this is The Mischievious Boys Theme Song and it’s the first Mischievious Boys music video I edited that had multi-shots.

Have you guys ever thought of expanding the cast? Instead of just yourselves, how about dancers or celebrity cameo appearances?
I wanted my cat Cosmo to have more appearances in our music videos. And I think it would be cool to have our fans appear in our music videos too.

How about a “making the video” show like MTV?
I have always wanted to put out a behind-the-scenes and the-making-of our music videos but the other three Mischievious Boys are too embarrassed to have those shown.

Do you guys plan to do any real singing and releasing your own album?
We have done karaoke. I have recorded a few songs using my own voice so I am definitely interested in doing cover songs and using it in our music videos.

Have you guys tried talking to Mattel to make toy figures of yourselves? With gyrating hips and all.
I was only thinking of selling merchandise like calendars, t-shirts, tank tops, postcards, mugs, mouse pads, but I did not think of toy figures at all. That would actually be cool.

Blonde & Beautifool

Brand new stocks and brand new characters just bounced in from david & goliath tees. The latest series features the talented (she got an A for class and is a Spelling Bee Champ) and gullible Dumb Blonde.

And sorry guys, we couldn't find a blonde in the store that was willing to pose for this series so you guys have to make do with just these hilarious kartun kapsions (I think I should run for Spelling Bee Champ too).

Improve your spelling now at NewUrbanMale.com with david & goliath tees.

Let's Get Mischievious with David

Like we promised, we will be bringing you the interviews with the "Greek Gods" themselves, The Mischievious Boys. Meet our first lip-syncher, The Bad Boy - Mischievious David.

Underneath that Bad Boy image, David is actually a gentle man at heart. The third year teacher enjoys playing computer games with his nephew and reads anything he can get his hands on. He moved to the States from Thailand when he was two and practically grew up in the US, duly considering himself “a transplant from Asia”. Making these videos serve as a stress relieving activity for this man who regularly goes insane after a day of teaching 7th and 8th graders.

Describe yourself in three words.
Witty. Comical. Entertaining. I would have included sexy, but that’s already a given.

Tell us how you guys got started?
I started lipsynching through Joseph and Tommy and we actually made our first video three years ago. It was awful! My fans must think that I like to take my top off but the truth is - Tommy and Joseph convinced me too.

How fast was the response after you guys released your first video?
The response was tremendous and extremely fast. We did not know there was so much interest in the Mischievious Boys and before we knew it, we have a Mischievious Boys For Life (MBFL) fan club. You guys in Singapore should definitely join.

Was it more hate mail than fan mail?
I received a little of both. I try not to read the hate mail if I see it. But right now my mailbox is getting full so to all our fans, please do not send me anymore mail until I manage to clear some away. Sometimes I wished I had a personal secretary to help me with the replies. Sorry to those I have yet to reply, I will do it a soon as I can.

Any stalkers thus far?
I won’t call them stalkers, just fanatics. We have been approached by people who recognize us from our music videos. There was once when Tommy, Edward and me were in San Francisco for New Years when a couple of Asian guys recognized us. They started pointing and smiling and said, “Mischievious Boys” and we smiled back and waved. We felt quite flattered actually.

Quirky Quickie:
David would love to take part in Survivor because he loves to be challenged mentally and physically. And because there are a lot of cute guys in the show too.

Have you guys ever thought of expanding the cast or allowing cameo appearances by some celebrities?
Definitely. We have been thinking about it. I would personally like a star from Singapore to fly over here and do a video appearance. Wouldn’t you?

What does your family think of your lip synching performances?
Unfortunately, both of my parents are gone and they never had the opportunity to see any of the videos but my siblings have seen our videos and found them really funny.

Have you guys ever thought the 235guys and the Mischievious boys can do something together? Maybe something like Live Aid?
That would be awesome. Maybe sometime in the future?

Have you guys seen our NUMtees? Which is your favorite?
Yes and I think they’re cute. I love them all.

Have you guys tried talking to Mattel to make toy figures of yourselves? With gyrating hips and all.
(Laughs) I never considered that actually but I will definitely keep that in mind.
