Breaking Records with TUKYTUKY

We've not seen a longer queue since Hello Kitty at the start of this millenium. At the launch of TUKY TUKY on 15 September, Havaianas enthusiasts flocked to The Heeren Shops to experience a new product - TUKY TUKY. These anti-oxidant and anti-rust jewels serve to compliment Havaianas and with so many varieties available, no wonder people are spoilt for choice on deciding what to adorn on their flip flops. NewUrbanMale.com was in a pre-Christmas mood that day and decided to give away 1000 pieces of TUKY TUKY to our loyal Havaianas supporters.

The queue started about half an hour before the official launch at 3pm. The crowd was given a goodie bag packed with Catalog magazines and NUM voucher worth over $100. People came for TUKY TUKY but our NUM Ambassadors were also hot properties on Saturday. The response to the launch was so overwhelming that we had to let our NUM Ambassadors take a break 2 hours into the event. Stomp blogger and Singapore Idol alumni, Maia Lee, also made an appearance, and she too, loves her TUKY TUKY. The queue at NewUrbanMale.com stores on the 4th floor too had queues forming, with Havaianas fans asking for more.

The last time NewUrbanMale.com expanded in May, 2 huge concept stores were added at VivoCity and Orchard Cineleisure. At the same time, the company also acquired the distribution rights for the Australian street wear brand MOOKS, with a standalone boutique at The Heeren Shops.

In 5 months, NewUrbanMale.com - one of the fastest growing lifestyle and fashion brand will soon announce another expansion plan.

"We are considering 2 locations at this point of time. Details on whether we will be adding 1 or 2 outlets will be revealed by end of September 2007. Hopefully by Christmas, we cound bring more interesting products and brands to Asia." Director and Founder, Mr. Shenzi announced.

NUM concept stores can be found VivoCity, The Cathay, The Citylink Mall, Orchard Cineleisure and at The Heeren Shops.

The brand is also currently talking to investors around Asia, for further expansion outside Singapore. At the rate NUM is expanding, it won't be long before you'll have your very own NUM Ambassadors serving you at the NUM store in your city real soon.
