The event raised more than S$100,000 to combat HIV. The money would be used to pay for medication for the HIV patients.

Some 700 people paraded from Youth Park to CK Tangs in limited edition NUM Dri-fit 'FOR WAD' tanks. The tank is specially designed for Action For AIDS, the organizers for the World AIDS Day Walkaton. It would not be sold in any NewUrbanMale.com outlet.

With the tagline 'FOR WAD', NUM made an impact with an attitude injected into the fashion sense as opposed to typical event t-shirts. The design is as such in view of having attendees who would still be wearing the tanks even after the events and even to town.

'FOR WAD' stands for 'For World Aids Day'.
