NewUrbanMale.com edges closer to another final after winning today's heats at Bedok Reservoir.
Today's win allows the NewUrbanMale.com Dragon Boat team to move into the semi-finals of the Singapore Dragon Boat Festival 2006. But not without some drama.
15 metres into the race, somehow, the tail of the boat dropped into the reservoir. That already made it difficult for the rowers, but adding salt to the wound, about 60 metres later, the head of the boat was next to fall.
Now they had an even harder time to row with this handicap. However, despite these apparent malfunctions, the NewUrbanMale.com team managed to push through and did enough to qualify for the semis.
We would like to thank our fans who came down to support us (and who got to witness the drama too) as the team works towards another win that will eventually get us closer to a second title. Be there tomorrow to support the NewUrbanMale.com Dragon Boat team.
