NewUrbanMale.com continues to to bring you our range of true American vintage tees.

You heard curiosity killed the cat but have you heard curiosity made the monkey smile. People in the past sure did, all thanks to Curious George.

Since 1941, Curious George has warmed the hearts of many and has never been out of print since. Curious George is actutally a famous children's book character written by husband and wife team of Hans Agusto Rey and Margaret Rey. George is actually a monkey from Africa who was taken by the Man in the Yellow Hat to live with him in the big city.

And Curious George is an overly curious monkey that gets into too much trouble and needs the Man with the Yellow Hat to get him out of it. And the success of this children's book is based on that same idea - the idea of how children learn in real life by being curious and learning from that curiosity.

It still continues to be a highly successful children series and even has an animated movie released last February (with the voices of Will Ferrell and Drew Barrymore) and has second one due in 2009.

What is even more interesting is that critics of the book has drawn parallels of Curious George with the idea of the Colonial Master - with the Man with the Yellow Hat being the colonial master, taming the "uncivilized" George from Africa on how to live in the modern world.

Whatever the interpretations, we still think that George is soooo cute and why not, it has been a children's favorite since 1941. Catch the entire Curious George range right here at NewUrbanMale.com.
